Last Friday night was what I like to call "A Perfect Summer Evening".
I went to the Rooftop Concert Series Abbey Road Show. They had multiple artists from around Utah perform the Beatles Abbey Road album from start to finish.
It. Was. Wonderful!
Not only was the mood perfectly set with a light warm summer's breeze, a beautiful sunset, and lanterns. But the music was incredible as well.
The grand finale of the night was "Hey Jude" - They had what seemed like 20 people on the stage performing. From awesome vocals, incredible instrumental, a wonderful brass section - this group had it all. Oh, and the whole crowd got up and started dancing and singing while fireworks went off in the background.
Doesn't it just sound wonderfully and epically fun?
All in all - it was the perfect way to start a holiday weekend.
I can hardly wait for next month's concert to come around! There's just something about a concert, on a rooftop, in Provo that just makes me happy.
